A developer is lobbying Queen's Park to include some of its lands in Waterloo Region's urban boundary.
Amir Remtulla of Amir Remtulla Inc. registered to lobby this past week on behalf of Activa Holdings Inc.
According to Remtulla's filing with the integrity commissioner's office, the goal of the lobbying effort is to get ministerial approval for an amendment to the Region of Waterloo's official plan. The amendment would change its urban area boundary to include lands in southwest Kitchener owned by the firm. Urban area boundaries put limits on where development can take place.
