The Canadian Tire Corp. registered this week to engage with the Ontario government to emphasize Canadian Tire's important role in Canada's retail landscape.

According to the news release, "At a cost of $89 plus tax a year, the program quickly pays for itself through rich rewards, a welcome gift and more."

The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police also registered this week to "call on the government of Ontario" to make changes to issues that impact policing, such as responding to mental health calls and the necessary statutory amendments under the Mental Health Act, the need to establish an Ontario drug task force to collectively develop a policy to deal with opioids and other drugs, and other topics.

The official report, produced by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, did not name the individual universities but said the use of police restraints varied depending on the institution. Some universities mandate police restraints any time a student needs emergency mental health care at a hospital, while others specify handcuffs are only to be used as a last resort.
