Nearly 96 per cent of members of the network's union, a branch of the Canadian Media Guild, voted to reject the latest offer from TVO's management.

Employees at TVO have notified both network management and the province of their willingness to strike, in what has been the biggest labour dispute in the public broadcaster's history.

Nearly 96 per cent of members of the network's union, a branch of the Canadian Media Guild, voted to reject the latest offer from TVO's management, and the branch president said they're fully prepared to walk out within the coming weeks.

"We have been underpaid for years and we've had less than inflationary wage increases for over a decade," said Meredith Martin, also a longtime producer of The Agenda with Steve Paikin, the network's flagship program.
