Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and attending premiers presented a united front on Wednesday, but there remains no clear agreement on how Canada should address U.S. president-elect Donald Trump's proposed 25 per cent blanket tariff on Canadian goods.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Canada's premiers face-to-face for the first time in nearly a decade to discuss a response to potential tariffs from the U.S. and there was a clear consensus among the group — nobody wants tariffs.

Beyond that, it becomes unclear.

Despite the united front presented by Trudeau and attending premiers (Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and B.C. Premier David Eby appeared virtually) on Wednesday, there was no clear agreement on how Canada should address U.S. president-elect Donald Trump's proposed 25 per cent blanket tariff on Canadian goods.
