Canada's premiers are collectively calling for a sit-down with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss funding for infrastructure projects, like ports, highways, and schools, across the country.

Canada’s premiers wrapped up two days of meetings in Winnipeg on Wednesday where they discussed an array of topics ranging from healthcare to Arctic security, but one issue dominated the conversation — infrastructure.

“We need to have an integrated, national approach to infrastructure,” said B.C. Premier David Eby during a warp-up press conference with all of the premiers.

“Having a national strategy around infrastructure that includes things like community infrastructure, as well as highways, ports, and railways is so important. It’s in the national interest.”
