Premier Ford blasts gas price hike, calls it "unacceptable" and "disgusting"

Premier Doug Ford slammed gas companies for hiking gas prices overnight in the GTA, calling it totally unacceptable and “disgusting.” Speaking at an unrelated announcement in Oakville on Thursday, Ford didn't hold back, taking a moment to vent “for the 16 million people of the province.”

Drivers in the GTA woke up to a shock this Thursday morning when a significant spike in gas prices at the pumps happened overnight.The price shot up by 14 cents, on average, moving from 164.9 cents per litre to 178.9 cents per litre.

“You go out last night and you're sitting there for 20 minutes in a lineup to get gas, and it’s unacceptable,” Ford said.
