ONxpress to partner with Metrolinx for GO Transit operations

Metrolinx promised the change won't impact customers. “This is only a change in who operates and maintains the GO Trains. There will be no impact on service, and customers won’t be affected by the change."

ONxpress Operations Inc. will partner with Metrolinx as their new operations and maintenance partner for the GO Transit system.

Metrolinx has accepted ONxpress’ proposal, and their 23-year term will begin Jan. 1, 2025.

This means that ONxpress is now responsible for operating and maintaining GO Trains, and train service planning, besides introducing new operational technology solutions and providing maintenance services for new assets, like electrification and signaling.
