Ontario's new funding model for school boards fails to address major concerns: unions, critics

Ontario has unveiled a new funding model for the province’s school boards that they say will be easier for parents to understand and bolster transparency.

The decision to update the funding model came after the government passed the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act last summer.

But teachers' unions and critics say the changes don’t cause significant impact, and all funding increases are still below inflation level.
