Ontario launches “Ontario Corps” for emergency response

Premier Doug Ford just unveiled the creation of a new volunteer-driven initiative to assist communities facing natural disasters and other crises.

Called “Ontario Corps,” the program aims to mobilize skilled professionals and volunteers province-wide to provide on-the-ground support when emergencies strike.

"Ontario Corps is about neighbours helping neighbours," Ford said. "We’re harnessing the Ontario spirit to respond swiftly and effectively to challenges like extreme weather events."
