The most recent polling reports are unanimous — Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservatives (PCs) are comfortably leading with three weeks left in the provincial election campaign.
The latest figures from Mainstreet Research put the PCs at 38 per cent, giving the incumbents a 13-point edge over Bonnie Crombie and the Liberals (25 per cent). The NDP have dipped down to 14 per cent, while the Greens are holding steady at 4 per cent.
According to Leger, the PCs sit at 47 per cent in the polls, which would put them 24-points up on the Liberals (23 per cent). Leger also places the NDP at 17 per cent and the Greens at eight per cent. This poll also included the New Blues, a social conservative party with no seats in the provincial legislature, who sit at two per cent.
