Ontario's colleges and universities minister says the province is investing more than $1 billion in its post-secondary institutions, but critics argue this money doesn't go far enough.
Jill Dunlop made the announcement on Monday, more than a month after Ottawa announced a cap on international students that's expected to hit Ontario's schools hard.
But the Ford's government's $1.3 billion, three-year commitment is far less than the $2.5 billion recommended by the expert panel the same government established last year to report on the state of post-secondary education in Ontario.
