Ontario tabled its 2024 budget on Tuesday. Here are some of the noteworthy details:
- The province is establishing a new $1 billion municipal infrastructure fund. It's also providing over $600 million to its water and wastewater infrastructure fund, which was started earlier this year with a $200 million allocation.
- An additional $100 million will be provided in 2024–25 to the province's skills development fund training stream. There will also be $62.9 million invested in programs aimed at attracting young people to the skilled trades (this was previously announced).
