Incoming NDP leader Marit Stiles handed over another pile of documents to Ontario's integrity commissioner over the Greenbelt land swap, which were immediately disputed.
The evidence Stiles submitted in her latest filing isn't new and came from publicly available sources. Her Wednesday play was to try and firm up her contention that some of the developers who own the Greenbelt land got a heads-up.
The key detail, Stiles contended at a press conference, comes from a freedom-of-information request from a resident of King Township detailing a meeting between the Rice Group development company, King Mayor Steve Pellegrini and representatives of the Southlake Health Network on Nov. 1, 2022, just days before the government announced its Greenbelt policy change.
