Liberals, NDP name candidates for upcoming Bay of Quinte byelection

All of the major parties in the province have named their candidates for the Sept. 19 byelection in Bay of Quinte.

Liberals, NDP name candidates for upcoming Bay of Quinte byelection

The Ontario Liberals on Friday announced that Belleville broadcaster and city councillor Sean Kelly will run for the party in next month's byelection.

With the announcement, all of the major parties in the province have named their candidates for the Sept. 19 byelection in Bay of Quinte, a longtime PC riding in central Ontario.

Earlier on Friday, the NDP said Amanda Robertson, a local school board trustee, would run for the party. The PCs were the first to name a candidate, appointing councillor Tyler Allsopp on Thursday.
