A new poll has the governing Progressive Conservatives holding a 10-point lead but the race is much closer in several key battlegrounds that will likely determine the next election.
The survey from Liaison Strategies has the PCs drawing the support of 40 per cent of leaning and decided respondents, compared to 30 per cent for the Liberals, who currently sit in third place in the Ontario legislature.
The automated phone poll, conducted from April 6-7, shows only a minor variance from Liaison's last survey in March, where the PCs led the Liberals 39-29 per cent. The margin of error for the April poll is plus or minus 2.74 per cent.
