"The strike continues": an LCBO deal falls through when the union says the company won't sign a return-to-work plan.

Deal reached in LCBO workers strike on hold

The union representing workers at Ontario's liquor stores said that the strike will go on after the government's refusal to sign a protocol paper to get workers back to work.

The quick change happened around 3 p.m. on Friday, calling into question the deal that the two sides made to end their two-week strike.

“We were prepared to announce this deal. The premier said there was a deal, but the employer is now refusing to sign that protocol,” an OPSEU spokesperson said.
