Ford weighs in on LCBO strike, developments at Ontario Place

The premier said the controversial underground parking garage at the new Ontario Place is yet to be confirmed.

"It costs so much to build underground," Ford said.

In an unrelated announcement in Kitchener this Monday, Premier Doug Ford talked about the tumultuous but now resolved LCBO strike, new developments on the Ontario Place plan and the U.S. presidential election.

The recent labour dispute with LCBO workers represented by OPSEU came to an end late Friday, after workers were able to secure the conditions they were negotiating for, such as job-security clauses and payment increases.

The premier said that the strike showed that booze is a serious matter for Ontarians.
