The Ford government is preparing to introduce legislation on Thursday to allow municipalities to dismantle homeless encampments across Ontario, as well as increased funding for municipalities.
Housing Minister Paul Calandra said the bill is a sign of the government's commitment to reclaiming public spaces and addressing homelessness through a combination of funding, accountability, and enforcement.
"Parks are for kids and families, and our downtowns should be places where small businesses thrive," Calandra told reporters this Monday.
