For weeks it's been known the Ford government would introduce legislation that would require municipalities to seek provincial approval before installing new bike lanes that reduce vehicle lanes.
But on Thursday, Premier Ford said the bill would go even further than first anticipated, and will also include the removal of existing bike lanes that are shown to be slowing traffic.
"We need to and will remove and replace existing bike lanes on primary roads that are bringing traffic in our cities to a standstill," Ford told a business audience in Toronto on Thursday.
