Ex-premiers put Canadian unity in contrast

Headlining a celebration of one of the country’s elite forums, three recently retired political heavyweights’ back-and-forth on Canadian unity lived up to its billing.

The roundtable of Christy Clark, Kathleen Wynne and Jason Kenney — whose premierships came to an end in 2017, 2018 and 2022, respectively — was the marquee attraction of the Canadian Club Toronto’s 125th-anniversary party on Wednesday.

Their discussion heated up in the back half of their 40-minute panel, which Steve Paikin of TVO loosely moderated.
