Housing Minister Nathaniel Erskine-Smith says he's not focusing on the Ontario Liberal leadership as questions are raised about whether Bonnie Crombie can hold onto the job after a disappointing performance in last month's provincial election.

Erskine-Smith, the runner-up in the 2023 Ontario Liberal leadership vote, says his attention is squarely on the upcoming federal election, which is expected to start later this month.

"I'm focused on the really tough federal election," he told iPolitics at the end of the federal Liberal leadership event on Sunday.
