Liberal MPs in vulnerable seats in the Greater Toronto Area shouldn't expect to easily land a nomination for a provincial riding in the next election, according to a party source, with Ontario Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie unlikely to pave a path for those not expected to win.

The Liberal source, who is not authorized to discuss internal matters, said Crombie wouldn't want to take on federal Liberals who are likely to go down to defeat when voters next head to the polls.

"If they can’t hold their own ridings why would she want them provincially?"
