Olivia Chow and Ana Bailão are starting to distance themselves from the rest of the pack in the crowded race for Toronto mayor, a new poll shows.
Chow, a progressive who previously served as an NDP MP, has the support of 26 per cent of decided voters, while Bailão, an ex-city councillor that allied with centrist Mayor John Tory, is close behind at 21, according to an exclusive Mainstreet Research poll conducted for QP Briefing.
Coun. Josh Matlow, a self-described pragmatic progressive, sits third with 14 per cent, four points lower than last week. Chow and Bailão were polling at 23 and 21 per cent, respectively, a week ago.
