Carolyn Parrish elected mayor of Mississauga

As of 8:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Parrish was leading her next closest rival, city councillor Alvin Tedjo, by over 8,100 votes, with 98 per cent of the polls reporting in the city's mayoral byelection.

Carolyn Parrish has been elected the new mayor of Mississauga, multiple news outlets are reporting.

As of 8:59 p.m. on Wednesday, she was leading her next closest rival, city councillor Alvin Tedjo, by over 8,100 votes, with 98 per cent of the polls reporting in the city's mayoral byelection.
