Rural mayors, councillors and wardens say they want better deals with the province, in the wake of an agreement the Ford government reached with the City of Toronto in November.
That's the message they took to provincial officials at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association’s (ROMA) annual conference, which wrapped up on Tuesday
Last year, Toronto got a “new deal” with the province, in which they agreed to take over the cost of two Toronto highways to help ease the city’s financial pressures.
