Honda Canada Inc. was registered to lobby this week by president and CEO Jean-Marc Leclerc. The registration lists a number of lobbying goals.

These include ensuring regulations pertaining to the Waste-Free Ontario Act, 2016 support auto manufacturing and sale of vehicles in Ontario/Canada and don’t add unnecessary administrative burden and costs. Honda also wants to participate as a stakeholder as it is impacted by several regulations stemming from the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 (RRCEA) and the Waste Diversion Transition Act, 2016, including the proposed regulations on blue box program operations.

Lastly, Honda wants to advocate for greater efficiencies between the RRCEA’s regulations.
